The Oregon-Davis School Corporation has updated its policies on bullying, dyslexia screening, and administrative leave, among others. Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says the school board approved a number of policies recommended by policy consultant NEOLA, during Monday’s meeting.
One of them will try to connect students and parents with resources to deal with bullying. “It is required that we have a link to the Internet that is a resource page maintained by the Indiana Department of Education,” Harman explains.
Harman says another policy update now requires that any administrative leave lasting more than 15 instructional days be approved by the school board. He also says the school corporation has identified an individual to oversee dyslexia screening and intervention, to meet new requirements.
