Hamlet Town Council Approves Playground Equipment Purchase

The Hamlet Town Park may soon get some new playground equipment. The town council Wednesday conditionally approved the purchase of a “zip line” style ride. It lets kids hang onto a suspended handle, which then glides along a curved track.

The town will buy the equipment from NuToys Leisure Products of LaGrange, Illinois for just over $4,800, with money left over in the 2018 Park budget. Council members also want to buy a spare handle, if possible. However, Town Attorney Martin Bedrock recommended checking with the town’s insurance provider, before ordering the equipment.
