Hamlet Town Council to Explore Financing Options for Potential Housing Development

Negotiations continue on a potential Hamlet housing development. Town Council President Dave Kesvormas gave an update during last week’s meeting.

“I talked to the one gentleman we had looking at financing some housing, some guaranteed financing for us,” Kesvormas said. “They’re basically saying that they’ll cover 80 percent of the project. We have to figure out the other. So we have to set up an executive session with those involved.” That’s expected to happen next month.

The proposed development would use a vacant lot on Pearl Street that’s currently owned by the town.
