The West Central School Board members discussed the possibility of hiring a District Data Test Coordinator and the responsibilities that go with that position.
Superintendent Don Street said this position would be very beneficial at the corporation as that person could have the time to dissect all of the data from state-mandating testing and disseminate it accordingly.
“The Guidance Counselors spend a great deal of time working on state reports as well as state requirements and less time working with students directly,” stated Street. “If a District Data Test Coordinator position was created, the Guidance Counselors would be able spend more time working with students and the social and emotional needs of our students.”
No decision was made at meeting concerning the position. It may be discussed in the future.
