Wind Chill Warning in Effect for Northern Indiana Until Thursday Afternoon

According to the National Weather Service, a Wind Chill Warning will remain in effect for much of northern Indiana until 1 p.m. CT (2 p.m. ET) on Thursday, January 31st.

Individuals can expect to encounter dangerously cold wind chills, as low as 45 below zero in some places. This will impact portions of northern Indiana, including Pulaski, Starke and Marshall Counties.

Officials warn that the dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. They also mentioned that individuals exposed to the elements could potentially run the risk of hypothermia or even death if precautions are not taken.

If at all possible, remain indoors. If you must go out, be sure to dress appropriately by layering and covering all skin so nothing is exposed.
