Pulaski County Coroner Investigates Two Fatal Car Crashes

Two separate car accidents in the same area this month claimed the lives of two Wheatfield residents.

According to the Pulaski County Coroner’s office, 76-year-old Curtis James Hunt died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and neck. He was driving a semi on U.S. 421 around 600 N. in Medaryville.  The manner of death was ruled accidental following an autopsy.  Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash that occurred on March 7.

On March 24, 18-year-old Anthony R. Sexton was involved in an accident in his passenger car in the same area on U.S 421 in Medaryville.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  The manner and cause of death are pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology tests, according to the Pulaski County Coroner’s office.

Coroner John Behny does not believe the two incidents are related.
