Weekend Rainfall Expected to Cause Minor Flooding Concerns

The heavy rainfall that’s anticipated for this weekend has the potential to cause some minor flooding.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of Northern Indiana, including Marshall, Pulaski and Starke Counties.

NWS officials report a potential for minor flooding as locally heavy rainfall is possible tonight and is expected to persist into Saturday.

Officials warn the rainfall may lead to minor flooding of lowlands, creeks, ditches, rivers and any other areas susceptible to flooding. Motorists should be aware of the potential for hazardous driving conditions as ‘ponding’ on roadways is also a possibility.
