The Culver Town Council members reviewed paving bids last week for the town’s upcoming projects.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist said 12 different segments were bid with the lowest bid from E&B Paving in the amount of about $296,756. Nearly $135,000 of that cost will be covered by grant funds. The other portion will be paid for by funds encumbered from 2018 and funds appropriated for the project.
Leist said Utility Superintendent Bob Porter met with E&B Paving officials in the past couple of weeks and found the bid numbers and specifications to be in order.
School Street, Slate Street, and Madison are the main roads that will receive updates.
The project should be underway soon.
