Knox School Superintendent Pressing for Meeting Over Former PTO Funds

Knox school officials continue trying to track down money raised by a former parent-teacher organization. Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart told the school board last week that he’s working with a group representative to make sure the money gets spent on local kids, as originally intended.

“I did reach out to Mrs. Taulbee and have pressed her for a meeting,” Reichhart said. “I think it’s time that this gets resolved, and she indicated to us that there’s $18,400 that she has in the bank, sitting there, that is for our kids here at Knox that’s been raised by our previous PTO.”

The status of the money has been the topic of an ongoing discussion for the past several years. The old PTO has been replaced by the Lil’ Redskins Booster Club.
