Two major maintenance projects are planned for this summer at the West Central School Corporation, according to Superintendent Don Street.
“We’re looking at replacing our main water feed in the high school boiler room as well as pumps and valves in the high school,” commented Street. “They are original to the building from 1969. Those are two of the more major projects that we’re looking at.”
In other remarks, Street said the secure entrance and utilization of space projects that took place last year are now complete. The projects included new fencing at the football field, new pavement for the elementary school parking lot, outdoor LED lighting, the replacement of the heating and cooling units for the high school cafeteria and high school band room area as well as the renovation of the north lobby restrooms, replacement of the middle school auxiliary gym roof, and the renovation of offices at the elementary and middle schools to produce more secure entrances.
