Winamac Clerk-Treasurer Shares Financial Reports from Baker Tilly

Winamac Town Council members received some financial insight from Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger when officials met last Monday.

She presented council members with reports from the town’s financial advisors at Baker Tilly (formerly Umbaugh and Associates).

Berger informed members that based on the town’s current usage, the electric account is expected to have a positive cash flow for the next five years.

She added that both water and wastewater accounts are currently doing well. However, Berger said officials will need to keep an eye on each of them and assess if any rate adjustments will be necessary within the next 3 to 4 years.
