A former Pulaski County Judge is facing a felony charge after an incident at the Winamac VFW Post #1728 Saturday night.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrived at the establishment at 11 p.m. after the victim called police claiming that a man threatened to stab him.
The man, identified as 57-year-old Patrick Blankenship, a former Pulaski County Superior Court Judge, left the scene but was later located at his Winamac residence.
Police say Blankenship refused to exit the residence when requested to do so by police. A search warrant was obtained with authorization by Pulaski County Superior Court. It was served at the residence were Blankenship was taken into custody, according to the report.
Blankenship was booked into the Pulaski County Jail on a preliminary charge of intimidation as a Level 6 Felony.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Winamac Police Department.
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
