Hamlet residents will have the chance to help decide the town’s future Tuesday. A public input session is being held as part of the town’s comprehensive planning process.
It will take place Tuesday evening at 6:00 at the James R. Hardesty Fire Station and Community Center. Residents will likely have the chance to share what they like and don’t like about the town, as well as what they’d like to see in the future.
Town officials are working with HWC Engineering to develop the comprehensive plan. The cost is being covered by grants from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs and the Starke County Community Foundation.
Not only will the plan help town officials make decisions in the coming years, but it’s also a required step in Constellation of Starke’s efforts to be designated a Stellar Community.
