Knox City Council members took a step to improve access to a government building in downtown Knox Tuesday night.
Knox Mayor Dennis Estok explained that the Starke County Safety Committee approached the City with a request to put some handicap parking spots at the former jail building, which is now referred to as Starke County Annex Building #2.
Members unanimously approved the request. Mayor Estok noted that signs will be erected and two spots will be painted to reflect the handicap parking status.
