Knox Mayor Dennis Estok informed the city council about a project down at Wythogan Park that has been experiencing a delay due to the recent weather.
Mayor Estok said, “The Pickle Ball Courts, we haven’t forgotten about them.”
He continued, “The concrete guy just hasn’t been able to get there. Because of all the rain, he’s behind, although, he’s hoping to start either Friday or next week.”
He mentioned that Doug Allen Concrete is being utilized for the project. Estok noted that it will involve repainting and extending one of the existing courts. He added that some new nets will need to be purchased as well.
Estok stated that a number of people have been asking him about the courts so he wanted to alert the public that the project is still on the docket and will be addressed as soon as possible.
