Redskin Academy Celebrates Sixth Graduate

The Knox Community School Corporation continues to see success with its alternative high school program, as it nears the end of its first year.

“We had our sixth graduate this week in Redskin Academy, so we celebrated,” Director of Curriculum and Instruction Peggy Shidaker told the school board Tuesday.

Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart added that a total of 45 students have been part of the program since it began in August. “Those are students that have really benefited, so I thank the board for your support in piloting that program,” he said.

In personnel matters, the school board accepted the retirement of Middle School Teacher Teresa Campbell and appointed Mollie Dollahan as the new head varsity cheer coach.
