A Winamac Park Board member is calling for upgrades to the Town Park’s entrance. During last week’s meeting, board member Steve Miller said the landscaping around the front gate could use some attention.
“It needs something,” he said. “I think some of the stuff that they planted in there has died out. . . . We used to always put the flowers in front, and then Don would hook up to the water hydrant or the fire hydrant and water them or whatever. But it’s not very appealing, I guess.”
Other board members suggested looking into options that would be easy to clean after floods. Miller said he’d like the board to accept bids from local landscapers.
