Residents in the City of Knox not complying with codes pertaining to the upkeep of vegetation are receiving ordinance violations.
Knox Director of Building, Planning and Code Compliance Kenny Pfost told the Knox Board of Works members Wednesday morning that 19 code enforcement violations were issued to residents for tall grass.
He said the contractor mowed some areas under continuous enforcement and took time to get to the new properties. A bill is sent to the property owner every time the city has to mow a property.
Pfost also commented that no work has been done at 13 N. Main Street, but the work permit continues through Sept. 3.
At 253 E. Washington Street, stucco was removed from the property but nothing has been done since the notice was originally posted. That work permit expired on July 17.
