A portion of Starke County Road 700 East near Hamlet is closed until further notice. The Starke County Highway Department says it’s closed 700 East between 600 North and 700 North, after part of the roadway caved in.
Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler is assessing the situation. Officials stress that it is not safe to drive around the barricades.
