A small fire at BraunAbility in Winamac occurred Monday morning around 11 a.m. ET.
According to BraunAbility Environmental Health and Safety Manager Michael Holle, the fire began in the smoke exhaust system in the building’s welding area, but the official cause is still under investigation.
All employees were evacuated from the building when the fire was reported. The Winamac Fire Department arrived shortly after and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly without injuries.
“Thank you to the Winamac Volunteer Fire Department for their prompt and professional response,” said Holle. “We’re very appreciative of your support of our employees and the entire community.”
