Pulaski County Commissioners to Consider Hiring IT Company

The Pulaski County Commissioners may hire an outside company to take care of the county’s technology needs.

The commissioners disbanded the county’s IT department at the beginning of the month and are looking toward hiring DeGroot Technology for the county’s IT needs.

Auditor Laura Wheeler said the commissioners tabled a decision during their Monday morning meeting.  They would like DeGroot Technology representatives to submit a price list to the commissioners for what they would charge for rates.  The list would include nighttime and weekend rates. Company officials will also submit a proposal to itemize what time can be devoted to county work as they cannot commit to a 40-hour work week with the county.

The commissioners will consider all paperwork at their next meeting on Monday, Aug. 5.
