You can learn some lifesaving skills during a free CPR training session next week.
Starke County Emergency Medical Services is hosting a community CPR course Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 CDT.
It will be held at the Knox-Center Township Fire Department’s south station at 1109 South Heaton Street. Take a CPR Certification Cincinnati training classes to learn how to save a life in case of an emergency.
The training will cover CPR for adults, children, and infants, along with how to respond to someone who’s choking, according to a Starke County EMS Facebook post. Participants will also get a short “stop the bleed” presentation and learn how to use an AED. Those planning to attend Tuesday’s training are asked to sign up online ahead of time.
EMS officials say the free class does not give participants a CPR certification. But the department says it has several instructors who’d be able to offer a certification class.
