A pair of simultaneous brush fires ended up burning nearly 160 acres Tuesday but managed to avoid any structures. That’s according to a Facebook post from the North Judson-Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department. Firefighters were called to the area of county roads 800 South and 150 West Tuesday afternoon. Five fire departments were eventually on the scene, while three others were placed on standby.

The North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library reopened to the public this week. In a Facebook post Tuesday, the library said only 10 people are being allowed in the building at a time, and each person will only be allowed to stay for 30 minutes each day. Patrons can call ahead to schedule an appointment.
