Two Hamlet children are believed to be in extreme danger in information released in an AMBER Alert sent Saturday morning.
The victims, 7-year-old Ayden Javier Mendez and 3-year-old Yulianna Rose Mendez, both Hispanic, were last seen in Hamlet on Aug. 8 at 1:37 a.m. Ayden was last seen wearing a black basketball jersey with “MEXICO” written on it and black shorts. Yulianna was last seen wearing a white shirt with colored designs on the front and turquoise shorts.
Hamlet Police Department officers believe they are with 28-year-old Francisco Javier Mendez, described as a Hispanic male, 5’6” tall, 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a black 2013 Audi with the Indiana license plate number LE5262.
