The Town of Hamlet has set its trick-or-treat hours. During Wednesday’s park board meeting, town officials agreed to hold trick-or-treating on October 31 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Board members also discussed the possibility of adding to the festivities in future years by holding a Halloween decorating contest. Board President Dave Kesvormas suggested the idea as a way to encourage more residents to hand out candy during trick-or-treat hours. In the end, it was decided that it’s too late to organize a contest for this year, but it might be something to consider in the future.
