The Medaryville Town Council members will be working with Jeff Rowe with accounting firm Baker Tilly to find options on funding a shortfall in the water tower project.
Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood said bids were opened for the project, but came in much higher than anticipated. Even with the assistance of a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $550,000 with the town’s match of $176,000, the town is about $210,000 short of making sure the project is fully funded.
The new water is expected to be built on land the town purchased across the street from the Medaryville Town Hall.
