A Knox man was found not guilty of domestic battery, during a jury trial last week in Starke Circuit Court. Court documents say Siad Berry, 41, had been accused of stabbing a woman with a pocket knife at a Knox home on July 15, although police believed the woman had initiated physical contact. There were seven children in the home at the time, according to the probable cause affidavit.
During last week’s jury trial, the jury returned a not guilty verdict for a Level 5 felony count of domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon.
