West Central School Corporation Gets $100,000 Secured School Safety Grant

The West Central School Corporation has received the maximum possible grant award in this year’s round of Secured School Safety grants.

West Central got a $100,000 matching grant, far more than any other school corporation in Pulaski and Starke counties. Superintendent Dan Zylstra previously told the school board that money will be used for new doors and locks at the elementary school, as well as more security cameras.

Altogether, the state awarded more than $19 million in this year’s round of the program.
