Knox School Board Accepts $500 Donation for Delinquent Student Lunch Accounts

Knox students struggling to pay for lunch are once again getting some help. The school board last week accepted an anonymous $500 donation for delinquent student lunch accounts.

Board members and Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart expressed their appreciation. “I’ve never been part of a corporation who have people donating money as generously as we have in our community for those families who can’t afford to – and our economy is good, but there are still many families in our Knox community who are struggling and we have more homeless students this year than we’ve ever had before,” Reichhart said. “So it does all go to a good purpose, so thank you.”

Treasurer Kasey Clark said she was told that the person who gave the money regularly makes donations for that purpose two or three times a year.
