Knox Third Grade Teacher Taking Part in IDOE’s Teacher Leaders Bootcamp

A Knox Elementary School teacher is one of 50 Indiana teachers chosen for the state’s inaugural Teacher Leaders Bootcamp. The bootcamp was developed by the Indiana Department of Education to help selected teachers develop their leadership skills and use what they learn to help their schools. The event officially kicked off last week.

Knox Third Grade Teacher Dennis Briciu was one of those chosen to take part. He and the rest of the teachers will each work with their principals and other school leaders to identify a local problem, which will become the focus of their “Action Research,” according to the Department of Education.

Additional meetings are planned in November and March, along with some virtual sessions, before the teachers present their findings in May.
