The Town of Medaryville may soon be upgrading some of the equipment at its wastewater treatment lagoon. Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood says the town council discussed the possibility of repairing a generator and replacing a flow meter, during last week’s meeting. She says that town officials haven’t gotten cost estimates yet, but they believe buying a new flow meter could cost $3,000.
In other business last week, the town council decided to stick with the town’s current insurance provider. Harwood says council members had the choice of staying with Novotny Insurance or switching to 1st Source, and ended up choosing Novotny. She says the policy covers several items, including property and vehicles.
