In a joint meeting with the Starke County Commissioners tonight, the Starke County Council members will consider server and broadband upgrades.
Consideration will also be given for the local Drug Free Communities Fund, additional appropriations, and a transfer request from the maintenance department.
Starke County Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Larry Wickert will also report on the latest information concerning industry and other efforts.
The joint council and commissioners meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. CT followed by the regular meeting of the Starke County Commissioners.
The commissioners will open bids for Bridge #158, the new bridge to replace a culvert on County Road 700 East between County Roads 600 North and 700 North. Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler will return later in the meeting with a bid recommendation for approval and then talk about a road conversion policy.
Starke County Court Services Director Shawn Mattraw will present a change in a job description and Starke County EMS Director Travis Clary will have a memorandum of understanding and request to purchase an ambulance.
The commissioners plan to review the updated version of the employee handbook, approve a change of team/lead track contracts, and receive a status report on the opioid litigation.
The Starke County Council and Commissioners will meet in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex No. 1 building at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
