The Winamac Town Council took one final step related to the budget for 2020 when members met on Monday.
Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger presented them with an ordinance that would approve the document.
According to the Indiana Gateway for Governmental Units the total budget estimate comes to $1,445,217.
The Town has a majority of their money in the General Fund which totals $950,552. The budget also consists of a Rainy Day fund containing $15,000, a Cemetery fund of $3,100 and a Local Income Tax Fund with $50,000 in it.
Additionally, Winamac’s 2020 Budget calls for the Cumulative Capital Development fund of $30,000 and an Economic Development Income Tax/CEDIT Fund of $90,000.
Council members unanimously approved the 2020 budget ordinance.
