College-bound students looking for financial assistance are required to fill out the FAFSA and unfortunately, many people find the process to be time consuming or confusing.
However, there’s no need to stress because free financial aid help will be available during upcoming College Goal Sunday events.
Plymouth High School is the closest location serving as a site. The events will be held this Sunday on November 3rd from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. ET as well as on Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 during the same scheduled hours.
Students who attend the event with their parent or guardian should bring completed IRS 1040 tax returns, W-2 Forms and other income and benefits information. Students and parents are also encouraged to apply for their U.S. Department of Education Federal Student Aid Ids before coming to the event.
In order to be eligible for financial aid, the FAFSA must be filled out by April 15th. Families and students who attend either of these events can have their forms completed within one afternoon, well before the deadline.
School officials note that students who attend College Goal Sunday and fill out the appropriate form when signing in will be eligible to win one of five $1,000 educational prizes from Indiana College Goal Sunday.
College Goal Sunday is a charitable program of the Indiana Student Financial Aid Association. It’s been around for about 3 decades and has been able to assist more than 93,000 Indiana Students and families with completing this vital document correctly and on time.
