The West Central School Board members are considering some improvements at the schools.
Superintendent Dan Zylstra said one project could save the corporation some money.
“We’re looking at some LED lighting options for next year to save on energy costs and also brighten up the building,” stated Zylstra.
The school corporation is currently utilizing funds received in a $100,000 Secured School Safety Grant in upgrades to doors and locks at the elementary school. Funding will also allow for the purchase of security cameras. Zylstra mentioned earlier that there are certain spots at the corporation that could use more coverage.
