Knox School Board Approves Quote for Storage Barn Construction

The Knox Community School Corporation is creating more storage space for band and athletic equipment.

The school board Monday approved a quote from Arnold Lumber of Decatur for the construction of a 40-by-60-foot pole barn, according to Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart. “Right now, we have a shortage of space,” he explains, “and rather than building that into our building project, which is quite a bit more expensive, the board felt that the more economical way to gain storage for what we needed in our corporation would be to build a simple pole barn that will sit to the west of the high school out by the band tower.”

Arnold Lumber’s quote was the lowest of three that the school corporation received, at just under $56,000.
