New Prairie Middle School Student Arrested, Following Threat Investigation

LaPorte County Police say they’ve arrested a 13-year-old girl for intimidation, in connection with a threat that caused a “lockout” at New Prairie Middle School Friday. The sheriff’s office says Deputy Paul Adams, who serves as New Prairie’s school resource officer, continued to investigate the threatening text message over the weekend.

After getting information on Saturday, Deputy Adams reportedly conducted an interview and identified a suspect, a 13-year-old New Prairie Middle School student. Officers say the school will be back on a normal schedule Monday, as the investigation continues.
