Tippecanoe River-Themed Mural Planned for Winamac Silos

Some Winamac silos will soon be reinvigorated with public art, thanks to a grant from the Tippecanoe Arts Federation. Anne Rebeck serves as the federation’s Pulaski County representative. “We, through them, have a $10,000 grant for public art,” she told the Winamac Town Council Monday. “So I have permission from Mary Sue Link to use the silos that are on the Panhandle Pathway, and we’ll hopefully get that done by early summer.”

Rebeck explained that four artists have been asked to submit design proposals based on the theme of the Tippecanoe River. The size of the mural will depend on how much additional money can be raised. Rebeck said she plans to ask local businesses for donations, once the design is finalized.
