Vandalism in the Winamac Town Park is drawing frustration from the town’s park board.
“We have a great resource in our park, and that just made me sick when I drove down there and saw that,” Board President Chris Schramm said during Thursday’s meeting. “I don’t understand that. It was multiple spots. The fireplace had graffiti all over it. I saw a picture. I think the paper ran something last week, and I saw other spots, too. It just gets under my skin when they do that.”
Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo said about 90 percent of the vandalism has been cleaned up. Schramm commended DeLorenzo for all of the work he’s done.
