WKVI to Host Food Drive in Winamac Today

Area residents are encouraged to assist the Pulaski County Human Services Food Pantry by participating in the annual WKVI Food Drive at Sanders Foods in Winamac today.

It’s easy!  Just include a few extra items in your cart during our grocery shopping trip to benefit those in need.  The food pantry can use donations of peanut butter and jelly, canned soups, canned vegetables, snack packs with crackers, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and laundry soap, just to name a few.

The boy scouts will assist food pantry officials in collecting the donations.

Pulaski County Human Services Director Jackie Frain said cash donations are also encouraged as it helps fund operations to keep the food pantry open.

WKVI’s Nathan Welter and Harold Welter will be live from the event that is scheduled at Sanders Foods from 10 a.m. to noon ET.
