City of Knox Seeks Two More Homeowners for Owner-Occupied Rehab Program

Residents living within the City limits of Knox who are in need of home repairs they can’t quite afford are encouraged to reach out to be a part of the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation program.

City officials are seeking two more eligible homeowners to participate in the program. Applications can be picked up from the Mayor’s office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. until Friday, January 10th

Funding was secured through a grant from the Indiana Housing and Community Development to support this initiative which is geared at helping residents address home conditions that, if left unattended, could create an issue with the integrity of the home or become a detriment to the individual’s quality of life.

In addition to there being certain eligibility requirements there are also particular qualifiers for what types of rehabilitation work is permitted.

If you have any questions regarding this program, please call Mayor Dennis Estok’s office at 574-772-4553. You can also reach out to Grant Consultant for Neighborhood Development Associates Christine Deutscher at 574-288-4369.
