The renovation of the Culver Beach Lodge is primarily on schedule.
Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist said as of last week the windows were installed on the addition while drywall was installed in the upper level and the main level. Crews were beginning to paint the walls on the upper level last week.
The demolition of the stairs to an upstairs apartment was on the schedule as well as the setting of door frames.
Equipment for a sprinkler system arrived and siding is on site for the addition. The siding can be installed as long as the weather cooperates.
The new elevator should be constructed within the building in January shortly after its arrival.
Leist said despite the week-long delay at the beginning of the project, crews have managed to stay on schedule with a substantial completion date of March 31, 2020. The project is grant-funded through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs. It is one of the projects outlined in the Town of Culver’s Stellar Communities Designation plans as part of their designation award in 2017.
