Knox Police Chief Reports Good Turnout for Second Women’s Self-Defense Class

The Knox City Police Department is reporting success with its second women’s self-defense class of the year. The free training session was held at Knox High School on November 23.

Police Chief Harold Smith told the board of works last week that about 23 people showed up. He added that police have received a lot of good feedback.

A similar class was held in February. The goal is to teach women some techniques to avoid and counter an attack.
