La Crosse Town Councilman Bob Wheeler was recently honored with the Distinguished Hoosier Award.
Republican State Representative Jim Pressel presented the award to Wheeler during his final La Crosse Town Council meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 17, after having served 30 years in that capacity.
A Distinguished Hoosier Award is awarded by the governor to residents who possess the best qualities and characteristics of Hoosiers in Indiana.
Pressel stated that Wheeler “is an outstanding community leader and has been instrumental in numerous town projects throughout his tenure.”
