Indiana Arts Commission Now Accepting Apps for Community Service Programs

The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) is now accepting applications for a few different funding opportunities for community service programs. Those programs include Arts Project Support, Arts Organization Support, and Creative Community Pathways.

The IAC’s Creative Community Pathway is a roadmap for any Indiana community to start, focus, or deepen arts and culture-based strategies to grow community wellbeing.

As a capacity building program, the Pathway aligns local creative assets such as artists, arts and culture strategies, partners, and resources to support a community’s unique goals and dreams.

The program simultaneously organizes a sustainable, healthy, creative ecosystem for artists and cultural organizations while using best practices and providing resources.

The Pathway also directly prepares communities who wish to purse the Indiana Cultural District designation and Spotlight Community recognition.

Communities interested in pursing a special designation through the program have to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by February 27th, 2020. Click the following link to access detailed information about the opportunity.

Arts Organization Support grants provide annual operating support for the ongoing artistic and administrative functions of eligible arts organizations that align with the Indiana Arts Commissions’ public funding imperatives.

The amount is based on the average of the applicant’s last three years of total cash income, panel’s ratings, the number of eligible applicants, and the dollars available.

Communities who are new to the program must submit a letter of intent by January 15th, 2020 and have to receive approval before they can apply.

With Arts Project Support, grants provide funding to nonprofit organizations to support a specific part of the organization’s arts activities such as a one-time event, a single production, an exhibition, an educational workshop, or a series of art-related activities such as classes or training sessions.

Arts Project and Organization Support grants are administered by the IAC’s Regional Arts Partners. The application deadline for both of those opportunities is March 5th, 2020.
