Hamlet town employees won’t be getting a pay raise next year. No changes were noted in the 2020 salary ordinance finalized by the town council Wednesday.
Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Pitts is set to get just over $33,000. Town Marshal Clint Norem will make over $44,000, while Street Superintendent Kevin Leinbach will receive just under $42,000. Each of the three town council members will make a little more than $2,200.
Hamlet had to cut almost $19,000 out of next year’s budget, due to an increase the amount of money expected to be lost to the property tax cap.
