Winamac Town Manager Provides Wastewater Project Update

While things are running a little behind, progress is being made on the Wastewater Project in the Town of Winamac according to Town Manager Brad Zellers.

Zellers told Town Council members Monday, “The Wastewater project, I think it’s picking up a little speed.”

Wastewater Department Interim Superintendent Barry Day agreed and stated that there seemed to be more manpower and the workers seem to be picking up the pace.

Town Manager Zellers said crews did run into a bit of an issue when they were working on Monday but things are back on track.

He explained, “They had a couple of obstacles toady, a couple of ‘unforeseens’ where they had to dig a hole and a pipe that nobody knew was there but I believe it’s okay and it’ll work out.”

Zellers mentioned that he doesn’t think they’re too far off from completing the tank. Council President Tom Murray added that he hopes that is the case since the weather will soon be getting worse.
