The Knox School Board now has a representative on the city’s redevelopment commission. The school board voted Monday to appoint the board’s vice-president, Wendy McIntire, to the position for 2020.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart previously explained that it’s a new appointment, following a change in state law. The rest of the redevelopment commission is appointed by the mayor and the city council.
