Two people were arrested in Plymouth early Tuesday morning after the Plymouth Police Department was alerted of an alleged theft in progress at Walmart.
Plymouth police say 41-year-old Matthew Lemarr, of North Judson, concealed merchandise inside his clothing. During the investigation, police learned that 43-year-old Tracy Napierkowski, of South Bend, reportedly gave them the wrong name and found that she had an active warrant out of Pulaski County.
Both Lemarr and Napierkowski were taken to the Marshall County Jail where they were allegedly found to have hidden illegal drugs in their bodies. The report indicated that Napierkowski later destroyed evidence while attempting to recover it.
Lemarr was booked into the jail on preliminary charges of theft and trafficking with an inmate. Napierkowski was booked on preliminary charges of false informing, trafficking with an inmate and obstruction of justice.
