Residents have another chance to weigh in on North Judson-San Pierre’s proposed elementary school renovations tonight.
The $10 million project would add a new gym, while repurposing the existing gym into additional dining space for the cafeteria, as well as other uses. The project would also include upgrades to the school’s plumbing, roof, and windows, while also modernizing classrooms.
School officials say the project can be done without raising property taxes. During tonight’s public hearing, project officials will discuss the work, its financial impact, and the need. After the hearing, the school board will consider a series of resolutions related to the bond process.
In other business tonight, the North Judson-San Pierre School Board will be asked to approve a bus purchase, a fund transfer, and a donation for student lunches. Tonight’s North Judson-San Pierre School Board meeting starts at 5:30 in the North Judson-San Pierre Central Office.
